Non-profit organization welcomes new leader to help guide practice’s mission of providing quality accessible healthcare
YourTown Health, a non-profit network of seven Community Health Centers catering to underserved communities, is appointing Dr. Tara Brown as chief operating officer, marking a new chapter in the leadership of the pioneering organization. Effective December 1, Dr. Brown will oversee the provision of dental, medical, and behavioral services.
An innovative leader with a versatile background in consulting, project management, business administration, and dentistry, Dr. Brown brings more than a decade of experience in healthcare and business. Her dedication to YourTown Health’s mission is evident in her commitment to provide access to affordable healthcare modalities and implement resources to the communities served.

Dr. Brown graduated from Northwestern University where she studied economics and international studies. She received her Master of Business Administration from Emory University and her doctorate in dentistry from Augusta University. Prior to joining the YourTown Health administrative team, Dr. Brown worked as a general dentist at both YourTown Health and a pediatric practice in LaGrange, GA.

A Georgia native, Dr. Brown is a member of the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association. She is recipient of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (Dental Student) Award and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Judson C. Hickey Student Research Award. Additionally, Dr. Brown is a published academic author and has presented at several professional conferences such as the Hinman Student Research Symposium.
