Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) / Licenced Practical Nurse (LPN)

YourTown Health in Palmetto, GA AND Senoia, GA are currently seeking a full-time bilingual Medical Assistant/Licensed Practical Nurse. This position is responsible for providing all general nursing responsibilities under the direction of the Clinical Director and site provider. Principle responsibilities include:

  • Check-in each patient and obtain vital signs to include age, weight, height, temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, respiration’s, tobacco/alcohol /drug use, etc.
  • Enter patient’s chief complaint in the EHR in the patient’s own words and document current medications, dosage and directions.
  • Prepare the patient and the exam room for the provider examination.
  • Assist provider as needed in the delivery of patient care.
  • Give immunizations, allergy shots, and other injectable medications as ordered by the provider.
  • Perform EKG and general laboratory tests as ordered by provider.
  • Handle medical telephone triage calls, provide basic counseling of diseases, and provide basic Health Maintenance counseling under the supervision and orders of the provider.

Education

  • Possess a degree in Medical Assisting or Licensed Practical Nursing.
  • Must have current registration/certification in the State of Georgia as a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse.

Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in an outpatient physician practice required.
  • Must have basic knowledge and skills to assist in the front and back office.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish required.

Maintenance/Janitorial Technician

YourTown Health in Palmetto, GA is currently seeking a Maintenance/Janitorial Technician that will be located at the Palmetto office. Principle responsibilities include performing routine maintenance of all PHC locations, PHC vehicles and PHC grounds in Palmetto, GA. Detailed duties include:
  • Routine Maintenance includes but is not limited to: painting walls, H.V.A.C system maintenance, plumbing work, flooring repair and upkeep, and electrical repairs.
  • Charged with maintaining the landscaping and grounds for PHC properties located in Palmetto, GA and other offices as directed. 
  • Repair machines, equipment and structures as necessary.
  • Assist in delivering and organizing materials management inventory throughout all of the services located within the Palmetto Campus.
  • Routinely clean the exterior and interior of PHC vehicles in addition to providing general automotive maintenance
  • Assist in PHC office moves, office expansions, meeting setup, site startup, site closure, furniture installations, workstations set-ups and/or installations.
  • Respond to after-hours emergency maintenance calls to all PHC locations as instructed by the Director of Human Resources. 
  • Responsible for thoroughly cleaning the exterior of the PHC building located in Palmetto, GA. Interior cleaning may be required in addition to exterior which may include sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, etc.
  • This individual will be required to supply their own tools.

YourTown Health in Warm Springs, GA is currently seeking a full-time Medical Assistant/Licensed Practical Nurse. This position is responsible for providing all general nursing responsibilities under the direction of the Clinical Director and site provider. Principle responsibilities include:

  • Check-in each patient and obtain vital signs to include age, weight, height, temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, respiration’s, tobacco/alcohol /drug use, etc.
  • Enter patient’s chief complaint in the EHR in the patient’s own words and document current medications, dosage and directions.
  • Prepare the patient and the exam room for the provider examination.
  • Assist provider as needed in the delivery of patient care.
  • Give immunizations, allergy shots, and other injectable medications as ordered by the provider.
  • Assist with Referrals.
  • Provide Case Management.
  • Perform EKG and general laboratory tests as ordered by provider.
  • Integrate and perform ACO insurance audits.
  • Handle medical telephone triage calls, provide basic counseling of diseases, and provide basic Health Maintenance counseling under the supervision and orders of the provider.
  • Provide front office responsibilities when necessary including scheduling appointments, answering phones, checking patients in and out and collecting copay’s and fees.

Education

  • Possess a degree in Medical Assisting or Licensed Practical Nursing.
  • Must have current registration/certification in the State of Georgia as a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse.

Experience

  • 0 – 3 years of experience in an outpatient physician practice preferred.
  • Must have basic knowledge and skills to assist in the front and back office.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required.
