In honor of National Health Center Week, August 8 – 12, YourTown Health is offering free health screenings. The offer is open to any new patient or existing patient who hasn’t been to the center in over a year.

The free screening consists of a physical exam and lab work that includes…
- Blood pressure
- Comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP), which measures sugar (glucose) level, electrolyte and fluid balance, as well as kidney and liver function
- A1C, which tests blood sugar and is the primary test for diabetes management
- HIV
- Basic lipid panel to measure total cholesterol, HDL and LDL cholesterol, and triglyceride levels
- TSH test, which measures the amount of thyroid stimulating hormone in your blood to evaluate thyroid function

Today, there are approximately 1,200 community health centers like YourTown Health across the nation.
